Preservation Gaston, Inc. was formed in 2019 with a two-fold purpose: to save the historic 1853-era Smyre-Pasour House on the court square in Dallas, and to establish an historic preservation fund that would allow for the stabilization and sale of endangered historic buildings in the community.
